Great advice, I've been a fan of the liquid detox diet approach for a while now, it's honestly the quickest way to kick start a new healthier lifestyle or even snap out of old eating habits. However the one thing I would probably change in the article is the fact that you start off with just a water melon.

Yes the water melon is 95% water and great for detoxing naturally, I would personally highly recommend you start off with a vegetable and fruit smoothie, something that not only fills you up but also packed full of fat fighting antioxidants and rich in organic minerals, which is what the body craves on a daily basis.

So a smoothies like this for example:

- Handful of blueberries
- 1 whole banana
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- 50 cl of fresh bottled mineral water
- Handful of sliced cabbage
- Handful of sliced spniach

This smoothie is just killer and helps to cleanse the body in the most natural way possible. It's what I've been drinking for a while and it does wonders for an energy boost too.

Thanks,
Andrew (Detox Diet Guy)

Guide: DHA & ARA are two essential fatty acids, part of the Omega-3 fatty acid group. They are also called lipids. They are vital to proper brain and eye development in babies. The body is able to produce these two fatty acids as long as it has a good source of the other lipids required for production, but may not be able to reach the required levels without an extra source.

Another great use for Apple cider Vinegar is it is a great remedy for sunburn. Back in the day when I use to lay in the sun, I got a terrible sunburn at the beach in Florida. I met a new friend by the pool who helped me with my problem. Dampen a wash cloth in cold water and then dip it into a bowl of Vinegar. Next, blot it on your skin. Instant relief. You can actually feel it pulling the heat from your sunburn. I also, mix it in my water and it does seem to help me flush out the toxins from my body.

Fresh juices are not only delicious and creative solutions to support your weight loss goals, but also a great way to increase your energy and vitality. Adding nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables, and juice of green leaves into your daily routine, you will be surprised how easy and fast you can accelerate your weight loss goals and feel better. Juices can support your weight loss and fat burning goals in several ways, including reducing cravings, saturated cell bio-available food, support your body's fat burning process of eliminating the toxins stored in fat cells and reducing the acidity in your body.

Spartan must have never heard of cortisol.. Aerobics raise your cortisol levels for the whole day (almost 36 hours actually). One of the primary functions of cortisol is to break down proteins as amino acids to be transferred to the liver for gluconeogenesis.

For sure if you are a a serious body builder with lot of muscle mass then the body changes the muscle fibers. Slow and fast twitch. It may be based on the body creating the best balance for strength and endurance rather than burning muscle for fat.

Spartan1: I would suggest that it is you who do not know what you are talking about.

A simple illustration of the valid point the article makes: marathon runners. These athletes weight train in addition to grueling cardiovascular workouts, but have you ever seen one with bulging muscle?

Of course not, because their bodies break down muscle, along with fat.

It's that way with other distance runners as well, just most obvious with longer distance runners.

I think you make a great point here regarding calorie intake. Did you know that following the paleo diet will actually automatically reduce your calories? There's some great stuff about how to go about the "primal diet." Best of all, you don't even have to count calories! Check out how Isabel describes it at <a href="www.thedietsolutionprogram.com" title="The Diet Solution Program" rel="nofollow">

This article provides half of the truth. The common myth of Starvation Mode is used by companies to sell their products and/or services. The truth is; the human body will only convert muscle tissue to fuel if it is literally starving i.e prisoners of war not being fed for long, long periods of time. The human body will only convert muscle tissue to fuel if it has used all it's energy reserves first (stored fat on the body).
Here is the best analogy I have heard; a person goes out cuts firewood and stores it on his porch (stored fat on the body). He needs fuel for his house and instead of using the stored firewood, he goes in and cuts up all his wooden furniture which he uses everday (lean muscle tissue) and burns it instead of the stored firewood on his porch. This makes as much sense as saying your body will burn muscle tissue as fuel when it has a perfectly good fuel stored in the form of stored fat.
BELIEVE SCIENCE FROM REAL BIO-CHEMIST AND DOCTORS INSTEAD OF ARTICLES TRYING TO SELL PRODUCTS.

The muffin recipe is adapted from a recipe that I found online a few years ago. I made quite a few changes to the recipe and, in my opinion, these are the very best bran muffins I've ever had.

The flavour is wonderful and it's moist and light - not heavy! The blueberries are out so I'm going to make a batch with fresh blueberries! Yum!

I had received one of my first emails from someone who had made a batch and she took them to her office. She said that they were a hit!

I'm going to try something new and replace the two cups of milk with 1 cup of carrot juice and 1 cup of almond milk. I'm hoping that this will give it an even better flavour but I'll see. I'll let you know.

If it turns out, I'll update the recipe.

I would say yes to using saluyot leaves as a thickener. They are super healthy and grow like a weed. I never tried to dry them yet.

Hands down. Green bag wins everyday. It's a huge difference of using a plastic bag and green eco bag. You feel like you are doing something good to the environment. We love the feeling and we will continue doing it. Btw, thanks for writing this article. It is awakening!

In order to cure bloating you ought to find out the real cause behind it. If it is constipation, then, laxatives or eating right food will help. If it is the gas that is causing you the trouble then you can drink some carbonated water so that gas will escape naturally from your body in the form of a belch. If you don't mind taking pills then you can also pop in a couple of betaine hydrochloric acid tablets. Even simple things like inhaling air through mouth or taking calcium supplements can also lead to severe bloating. Exercise caution while eating. Take your time to chew and swallow the food properly.
