If we were trying to point out the continent that has healthiest cuisine one would definitely point towards Asia. Trying than specify the most tasty is very easy: everyone loves Thai cuisine! I would love to focus though on a bit forgotten and not really recognized Filipino Cuisine.
Filipino Cuisine had many influences from Chinese that were trading with
Filipinos for centuries, through Spanish that colonized it’s today’s territories, and to
Americans that gave the Philippines fast foods and scraps of meat which Filipinos turned into tasty grilled bites.
I must be honest with you, the Filipinos are real meat lovers and can’t get enough of their greasy barbecues and fried one day old chicks. Although, in Filipino kitchen there’s used a vast number of seafood, fishes, healthy
fruits and veggies and even miraculously healthy seaweeds. I would like to keep focus on these recipes that consist plenty of the ingredients just mentioned.
In coming weeks I will be providing you with some healthy and tasty recipes from this Pacific part of the world.
