Grain Vegetable Sandwiches!
These are great!
4 slices whole grain bread
1 avocado, mashed
1 tomato, sliced
1 small cucumber, sliced
1/4 cup Spanish onion, thinly sliced
2 tsp. healthy mayonnaise (available in a health food
store)
sea salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
Evenly spread the mashed avocado on
two slices of the whole grain bread and lightly
sprinkle the salt and pepper over the avocado.
Spread 1 tsp. mayonnaise on each of the remaining
two slices of bread. Add the tomato, cucumber and
onion to make two sandwiches. Serve immediately.
Pita Pockets
with Avocado and Sprouts
1 whole wheat pita breads, cut in half
1 medium tomatoes, sliced thin
1 cup alfalfa sprouts
1/2 cup cucumber, sliced thin
1 ripe avocados, mashed
1/4 sweet onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. lemon juice (or to taste)
sea salt (to taste)
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. chicken base powder, low salt (optional)
2 tsp. honey
Mix the onion powder, garlic powder,
fruit sugar, sea salt and lemon juice into the
mashed avocados. Spread the avocado mixture evenly
into the halved pita breads. Evenly layer the
vegetables into the halved pita breads. Serve
immediately.
