Served with brown rice and veggies, this is a quick and scrumptious meal, or I’ve used this fish for sandwiches with excellent results. Be sure you use toasted sesame oil for best results.
Did you know: Honey is the only food in the world that does not spoil. There are many varieties of honey that range from the type of flower to raw versus heated, and you probably will never be able to try them all. Stored at room temperature, it won’t go bad, but may crystallize. Don’t be alarmed by this, as it is normal and can be remedies by immersing your jar in a bowl of hot water. Don’t give honey to babies under 18 months old.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp honey
4 (6-ounce) black cod or halibut fillets, 3/4 to 1-inch thick
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F.
Whisk together the sesame oil and honey in a small bowl. Lay the fish fillets in a 6 by 10-inch glass baking dish and brush with the glaze. Put the dish in the oven on the middle rack and bake until the fish reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer, about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest in the dish for 5 minutes before serving.
