Watermelons and cucumbers are know to be some of the best known diuretics among the fruit kingdom.
Watermelon juice has been known to help kidney disorders. Watermelon juice is tasty and it is easy to make a few litres quickly. Watermelon has a vibrant alive flavor but it doesn’t keep for long so drink it within a day of making it. When is comes to nutrition and flavor, it is hard to beat watermelon. If you are using a juice machine, you can greatly increase the nutrition by throwing in a few slices of the rind. It doesn’t affect the flavor.
Nutrition in Celery
When I was younger, I worked in a laundry department at a hospital. It used to get unbearably hot during the summer months making it really difficult to work because of the stifling heat. After reading an article that drinking 1/2 cup of pure celery juice helps to regulate body temperature, I tried it and found that it was an unbelievable help. I could easily tolorate the heat. Celery juice is also one of the most hydrating drinks. It is full of electrolytes and the sodium in celery is organic and soluble and is not like table salt. Studies have shown that celery juice is effective at lowering bad cholesterol. Celery is an excellent source of vital vitamins and minerals.
Health Benefits of Cucumbers
For some, cucumbers can be hard to digest so try adding only 1/4 of a cucumber to the recipe below and increase if you have no problems digesting it. It is a natural diuretic and helps with the removal of excess body fluids. It is also an excellent alkaline food and is a wonderful source of silica, vitamin A, C, manganese, potassium, magnesium and much more.
This is my own powerful diuretic juice recipe. It helps to increase urine output and it’s best to sip it throughout the day and preferably between meals. It is also high in potassium so if you have a health disorder that prevents you from eating potassium rice foods, don’t drink this juice. This makes a lot of juice so you can halve the recipe if you are alone to drink it. If you don’t have a juice machine, you can blend the ingredients with pure water in a blender and then strain the pulp from the juice.
My Diuretic Juice Recipe
1/4 small watermelon, some rind included
1/4 cantaloupe, peeled
1 large english cucumbers, skin included
large handful of fresh parsley
handful of fresh or thawed cranberries
20 celery stalks
Put through a juicer.
